Overlooking Clevedon

Clevedon is a busy seaside town in North Somerset. The name derives from the Saxon, ‘Cleve’ meaning cleave or cleft and ‘don’ meaning hill, the town being situated amongst a group of small hills alongside the River Severn estuary. Clevedon is twinned with the towns of Ettlingen in Germany, Epernay in France and Middelkerke in Belgium.
